Randy Black, Jr.
Randy Black, Jr. is a Las Vegas native and third-generation commercial real estate professional. From the time Randy worked in his father’s office as a child, observing the commercial real estate business, he knew it was his calling. At 15 years old, with a work card in his hand, Randy started filing microfiche and eventually became the recorder for Minnesota Title. Randy went on to be a Title Searcher/Officer at 18 years old. While attending college, Randy worked during summers at Nevada Title. Randy attended UNLV and Temple University and majored in Finance. He became licensed as a real estate agent in 1990 and trained as an apprentice under Randy Black, Sr. at Diversified Interest until 1992. From there, Randy embarked on his own, transacting all varieties of real estate transactions. He represented tenants, landlords, buyers and sellers locally, regionally, and nationally. It was during this time that Randy and Michael Chernine began syndicating private equity in land investments. Throughout his career, Randy has acquired a broad-based understanding of real property holdings, which allows him to solve problems unsolvable by most, thereby creating added value. At LandBaron Investments, Randy’s responsibilities include locating and securing new property through private and public acquisition and managing those purchases. He increases the value of acquired property for his investors by subdividing, assembling, securing zoning entitlements and engineering utilities to the sites. Randy is also a political and legal liaison with local governing boards and politicians, attorneys and lobbyists.
